Cedar Rapids to Anamosa- 42.2 miles
1,907 feet of climb

Day Five- Thursday July 26

Marshalltown to Cedar Rapids- 84.8 miles. 3, 576 feet of climb
Today was fun, we got to ride through some amazing and beautiful small towns. The people we're so friendly and welcoming. McCall and Debbie raced in a cow milking contest. The temperature was cooler due to the storms that blew through last night. We did, however have some very tough miles on those infamous Iowa hills :)

Day Four! Wednesday July 25

Webster city to Marshalltown- 77.1 miles. Feet of climb- 1,997
Today was pretty brutal! Temperature topped out over 100 and the "rolling hills" of Iowa were never ending. We were down two team members and had to make a detour to Nevada medical center. (They squeezed me in and fixed up my swollen infected toe) Despite it all we had a successful ride and are very proud of ourselves!

Day Three! Tuesday July 24

Lake view to Webster City- 81.2 miles
We had an absolutely beautiful ride in the morning then the sun came out and we had a pretty strong head wind to battle.

Day Two! Monday July 23

Cherokee to Lake view- 62 miles
We had some crazy hills today, 2173 feet of climb! Plus it was hot again, but we did well and all 5 of us survived :) No showers at the campsite tonight... Poor Nick :(

Tattoos!

We got matching temporary tattoos for our ride this week :)

Day one! Sunday July 22

Sioux Center to Cherokee- 54.4 miles
Great ride! It's pretty HOT here in Iowa.
There are so many people on this ride. The streets get very crowded and bike riders have their own language.

Kansas

We stayed in Kansas last night at a camp site in Dodge City, "the cowboy capital of the world". It seems to be getting hotter the closer we get to Iowa which is slightly unnerving as the bike ride looms closer!

Half way!

We have officially completed half of our drive. According to the boss (Nick) we are behind schedule, but we think he may be confused :)

Bikes!

Nick made the most amazing contraption to hold all our bikes! He even had to take the tailgate off his truck!

Day two

We stayed at a cute little camp ground last night called 'Hidden Valley'. It is just easy of Albuquerque.
